Beautiful Baume Mercier Baumatic from the 50s.
The case was made by Gabus Frères, Usine Safir S.A, who also made cases for Rolex and Vacheron Constantin. It is made out of solid 18k gold, is solidly designed and features a screw down case back, really unusual for that time.
The gold weight is 15,4 gramm. The movement is a Felsa 692 Bidynator, the first bi-directional winding movement. It is working fine and is ready to wear.
But the highlight certainly are the hour markes. Just look at them...
We don´t know who made the dial but the hour markers look suspiciously similar to the hour markes on some VC 6378 models...
